Netflix will shoot "Love in the Villa" for three months, a new film inspired by the love story between Romeo and Juliet but with modern touches. While no names have been announced yet, the director is known to be American and the film will feature an international cast.

The setting will be the streets, squares and the historic center of the Italian city, as well as other places such as Juliet's House, Juliet's Tomb and more. The Mayor of Verona, Federico Sboarina and the Councilor responsible for Culture Francesca Briani immediately seized the important opportunity for the image of the city.

The Counselor responsible for Heritage, Andrea Bassi stated: "The staff needs a fairly large and central location, I immediately got down to work offering as an operational base the former headquarters of the Ente Nazionale Sordi (in the Cloister of Sant'Eufemia, in the historic center) who were only in the last few days to move to Enna street, a more practical and economical place to rent. Immediately, a gesture much appreciated by all ".

Netflix signed a contract of almost 10,000 euros for three months, which is the expected time for the making of the new film. “We are proud because the chosen operating base is undoubtedly the most prestigious association's office. Meanwhile, we will immediately begin with the publication of an expression of interest to have, at the end of the contract with Netflix (next November 6), a new association that will enter to carry out its new headquarters has already been identified," added Bassi.
