Third season of Starz hit series “BMF” reaches 5.1 million viewers

The new season of the gritty, family drama also launched as the highest-rated among black households on cable across its premiere weekend.

STARZ hit series “BMF” season three delivers 5.1 million multiplatform viewers on its premiere weekend. The third season, which premiered on Friday, March 1, achieved a series high-growing season over season by 25%. The new season of the gritty, family drama also launched as the highest-rated among black households on cable across its premiere weekend.

STARZ announced ahead of the season three premiere that “BMF” has been renewed for a fourth season, which production is slated to begin this spring in Atlanta, GA. In announcing the recent renewal, STARZ President of Original Programming Kathryn Busby said, “Fans can’t get enough of the history in the making that is BMF. We’re thrilled to start working on a new season that will continue bold storytelling of the legend of the Flenory brothers that has proven to resonate so deeply with our viewers.”

Inspired by true legends, “BMF” continues the story of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who rose through the illegal drug trade from the depths of poverty in Detroit to the heights of fame and fortune across America.

“BMF” is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through his G-Unit Film and Television production company (Executive Producer of the “Power” Universe), alongside creator, executive producer, and Detroit native Randy Huggins (“Star”) with showrunner and executive producer Heather Zuhlke ("Power") Anthony Wilson and Anne Clements also serve as executive producers on the series. “BMF” is produced through Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television production company in association with Lionsgate Television for STARZ.
