After the realization of Content Americas in Miami in January, C21 confirmed that its next event will be called Content Budapest. The market will take place at The Kempinski Hotel between June 27 and 29 with a mission to boost new programming relationships across Central and Eastern Europe and connect fresh crativity with international partners.

C21 has also signed an agreement with the team behind MRM, the Kyiv Media Week organizer, which will consult on the conference programme and build out relationships with buyers, commissioners and producers from across the region to take part in the event. A two-day international coproduction conference will run alongside the market and screenings, and the Content Budapest Pitch Competition will aim to uncover fresh shows that can work across markets. Furthermore, C21 has also confirmed it will host a boat party on June 28, reviving a tradition born of the now-defunct Discop East.

“Content Budapest will bring the best of our ‘Content’ format to the CEE market, with an unrivalled conference programme, attached to a vibrant market and screenings, all hosted in the city’s most progressive hotel. We are delighted to be working with the MRM team on the event and look forward to uniting the CEE programming community around an intelligent event with a mission to forge new partnerships,”  said David Jenkinson, Editor-in-chief & Managing Director of C21.

“CEE is one of the most promising regions for the content business, and I am sure that the upcoming event will bring together the brightest market players to celebrate its creativity and common business opportunities. Having 12 years’ experience behind the KMW forum, we are honored to contribute to Content Budapest. Also, it is an important move for the Ukrainian media community, which has become an integral part of the European market,”  added Kateryna Udut, CEO of MRM.

Moreover, the organizers of Content Budapest announced that they will invite up to 500 key buyers and commissioners from channels across CEE free of charge to the three-day event. For more information about the event, click here.
