"No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti"
FilmSharks has picked up International Sales and Remake Rights Sales for the Spain LATAM comedy “No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti / I Cannot Live Without You” (93'), from the same producers of “Ocho apellidos Vascos/A Spanish affair” and directed by Santiago Requejo.
A middle-aged, successful executive, played by Argentina's Adrian Suar, is addicted to his cell phone, constantly answering emails, having Zoom meetings, WhatsApp, and social networks, when his wife, played by Spain's Paz Vega, stands up and tells him that she wants a divorce, and his world falls apart. He will seek help and may find it in a unique way by signing up for a bizarre therapy for cell phone addicts.
A Studio theatrical release of the comedy in Spain is imminent and to be announced soon and also a pay1 PAN-SPAN/LATAM release after the theatrical release, in a Major OTT platform also in very advanced negotiations. The producer, Tono Escudero, said, "We are very excited about the production of 'I can't live without you'. This universal, updated, and modern story will be highly appealing to cinema audiences, and we feel it will find its place internationally with the support and expertise driven by a leading company such as FilmSharks."
FilmSharks CEO Guido Rud added: "It’s been a while since we don’t get such a modern funny high concept universal comedy about today’s addiction to cell phones. We expect to sell widely the distribution rights but we would not be surprised if we sold out Remake rights on the level of 'Ten Days without mom' , 'No Kids' and 'A boyfriend for my wife'. Already offers from France, Korea, Germany and Italy in the table in the less than 4 market days."
