Supported by ICEX and its flagship brand, Animation From Spain, a dynamic delegation of top Spanish animation producers is set to make a strong impact at the upcoming Cartoon Forum, taking place from September 16 to 19 at the Pierre Baudis Congress Center in Toulouse.

“Limbo Ville,” 26x11' (Children aged 6 to 9) by the production company Mago Production, which already participated with great success in the “Women in Animation from Spain” pitch session at the Annecy Festival in 2023; “Titan Tofu,” 26x7' (Preschool aged 2 to 4) by the production companies Uniko Estudio Creativo and Abano Producións; and “All Good,” 10x22' (Young Adults / Adults) presented by the production company GLOW, which also participated in the Cartoon Springboard during its last edition in October 2023 in Madrid. Of the three selected projects, two were created by women—María Luquero is the author of “Titan Tofu,” and Pilar and Raquel Maestre are the authors of “Limbo Ville.” For “All Good,” two emerging talents, Diego Porral and Joaquín Garralda, will present their work to the Cartoon Forum audience.

Additionally, during the upcoming edition of Cartoon Forum, the Spanish animation umbrella brand, Animation from Spain, will continue to showcase a new promotional video of Spanish animation, as well as the new edition of “Animation From Spain Who is Who 2024,” a publication that provides a comprehensive overview of the Spanish animation industry.

“Limbo Ville” follows Alex, a teenager who has just lost her mothers, begins working with her godmother at a real estate agency for ghosts. At the same time, she investigates whether her mothers, after passing away, have also become ghosts. An original and spooky adventure!

“All Good” is an animated comedy that follows the adventures of Simon Gonzales, a proud yet naive plumber whose daily life is complicated by eccentric colleagues, a charismatic new intern, and a family crisis. With numerous ego clashes, awkward situations, and existential angst, Simon embarks on a hilarious journey of self-discovery.

“Titan Tofu” takes place in a curious world that grows along with its characters, three slightly out-of-place creatures face the greatest discovery of their lives every day: their own selves. Follow the daily life of Titan, an unstable and undisciplined creature who hides everything he doesn't like. Like tofu! He hates it. He hides it so well that it has come to life and become his best friend forever, Tofu, a small emotional queen. This curious relationship makes them inseparable, but since eight eyes always see better than five, the team isn’t complete until Pepe appears—a penguin-bird who’s a bit lost but eager to find himself.

Through the Animation from Spain brand, ICEX will continue to strengthen its collaboration with the Cartoon organization by supporting the next edition of Cartoon Springboard. This training seminar and pitching event, aimed at young animation talents, will take place from October 29 to 31 in Madrid.

Audiovisual from Spain is the brand that brings together Spanish companies in the film and television audiovisual content sector for their international promotion at all major trade fairs around the world. This umbrella brand is created and supported by ICEX, Spain Trade & Investment.
