Content Americas 2024: Limonero Films brings factual projects with global attraction

The UK distributor Limonero Films is attending Content Americas from January 22nd to 25th and has announced a string of sales ahead of the North American market. Limonero Films works as a co-production agent, obtaining the funds to complete, or completely fund documentaries and factual series. Projects at this market looking for American partners, include "The Savannah: Wild Happiness" (4x60´), a wildlife series from award winner prodco Azor Producciones, that tries to answer the question: ´Are wild animals happy? ´, and that has been presold into Spain, Poland, Belgium, the Middle East and Czech Republic.

Another highlight is the Canadian show "Dr. Cliff: Worldwide Vet" (1x52´), an award-winning pilot looking for a series commission. Audiences follow Dr. Cliff Redford and his daughter, Emily Red Redford, as they travel to exotic locations around the world and work with local animal rescues in caring for injured and sick pets. The show has won awards as Best International TV Series Documentary, NYC TV Festival 2023; Best Director of a Canadian Documentary 2023, Hollywood North Film Awards; 7th Indian World Film Festival-23, Hyderabad, India 2023; Royal Society of Television & Motion Picture Awards 2023; Best TV Series Pilot, New York International Film Awards; Best Documentary Feature, Oniros Film Awards; Winner, Golden Fern Film Awards 2023 and Winner, Gangtok International Film Festival 2023.

The last project is "Antiquity Seekers" (6x60´), a collaboration with Limmat Films and Mediacrest, and it is an archaeological adventure with Joann Fletcher and Pr. Stephen Buckley, and is looking for co-production and Presales in the Americas. Combining Jo’s expertise and passion with Stephen’s scientific genius, these partners in both life and work are the Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson of the ancient past, covering four civilizations: Perú, China, Egypt, and Greece.

NEW DEALS
Limonero Films has announced a string of sales ahead of the North American market. Some recent sales include "The Wandering Chef" (12x30´), a newly acquired food and travel series that follows MasterChef’s winner Ranveer Brar around India, has been licensed by RTVE, SBS Food and the Asian Food Network. RTVE has also licensed "Cyberwar" (1x52´), produced by United Heroes Group.

SBS Food picked up "Hidden Flavours of India: Northeast" (15x30´), and Yes Docu has licensed the Rose d´or Latinos-nominated series "13 Days" (3x50´), also sold to Canal Sur and NETFLIX in Spain.

DMC in Egypt acquired a package consisting of the titles "Ahead of Their Time" (8x45´), "Thirties in Colour: Countdown to War" (3x45´), "Sight: The Story of Vision" (1x52´), and "The Divide" (1x77´).
