Michael Azzolino, Netflix’s VP of content for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Benelux and Turkey, and Łukasz Kłuskiewicz, the streamer’s director of film and content acquisitions in CEE, will jointly lead the opening keynote session at Content Warsaw next month. In their opening session on the first day of the conference, Tuesday June 4, Azzolino and Kłuskiewicz will focus on the long-term partnerships Netflix is building with creators in the region and discuss the company’s richly varied slate of Polish original productions, with an array of new shows and films scheduled to launch this year. Netflix will also host an invite-only lunch during Content Warsaw as it continues to foster discussion around innovation in production and how to grow the CEE creative industry.

Kłuskiewicz praised the growth of Poland in the sector: “Poland has seen an impressive trajectory of growth for the local production scene, with many new projects launching every year and local producers discovering new ways to tell local stories that first and foremost are appreciated by our audiences here. It will be an exciting opportunity for the industry to come together and discuss how to maintain that growth and innovation at the first edition of Content Warsaw;" commented.

C21 founder David Jenkinson highlighted Netflix's central presence: “Warsaw is at the heart of the CEE region. The pan-regional players are all based in the city, and as the market continues to boom, Content Warsaw will provide the most progressive environment in which to connect pan-regional players with each other and with the international market. We are delighted Netflix is set to kick the event off with this keynote. Few have done more in the region to support the development of local content, and we are looking forward to hearing about its future plans for further growth in partnership with key producers in the sector," stated.
