As Cannes Lions and a raft of other global award ceremonies have been postponed until 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Festival of Media Latam is providing a home for all of the creative work curated throughout the region over the last 12 months. Now in its 11th year, Festival of Media Latam is one of the biggest platforms for showcasing media and marketing across the region, and in these times of crisis, the company feels it is important to provide cheer and a reason to celebrate for the industry.
To ensure all of Latin America can celebrate creativity in 2020, one of the Festival’s new categories is “Best Creative Idea”. Also, in order to showcase some of the amazing work the region has done to help the global pandemic and other causes, it is also boasting “Best Campaign Led by a Cause”.
“As more creative awards ceremonies were forced to cancel or postpone throughout the Latin American region, we were determined to provide a home for what is traditionally a hotbed of creative work across media and marketing,” said Louise Byrnes, Head of Awards at Festival of Media.
“In this current climate both our judging process and awards ceremony will be held in the virtual space, but by entering it provides an opportunity to make your teams feel proud and also a very cost-effective way of marketing while budgets are being cut,” Byrnes added.
All of the categories for Festival of Media Latam can be seen here. The deadline for entering is July 9.
