The company led by Francisco Pou has decided to act as a bridge by creating a new international production division “to provide support for international production companies who are looking for a reliable partner and an experienced team with the necessary expertise to take on a large production in Spain.” As Pou explained, this also includes financial and legal support, co-productions, or purely on-set production services for international production companies.
With this objective in mind, Mediacrest has hired Denis Pedregosa who brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the table. As Head of Service, Pedregosa is taking charge of the division bringing to bear the experience and knowledge from his former company, Babieka Films which has been involved in such high-caliber productions as "Exodus," by Ridley Scott; "Tomorrow Land," with George Clooney; the Netflix series "Black Mirror"; or HBO's "His Dark Materials", among others. Working alongside him will be Production Executive, Mónica Guerrero, and Head of Accounting, Chema Gómez to provide support for the department.
The new division launches with confirmed productions for 2025 and is set to benefit from the financial advantages, locations, crews, and infrastructure provided by Mediacrest.
