"Love in Chain"
Film UA Distribution is participating in MIPCOM Online+ 2020 with four new projects: the family saga "There will be people", the period drama "Love in Chain", the detective series "The Sniffer 4" and the medical drama "Dr.Baby Dust 4", among other titles.
In April, Film UA Distribution made deals on selling a popular costume drama "Love in Chains" in a couple of new territories: Japan (distributed by A.K.Company), Czechia (TV channel Prima), and Spain (TV channel Divinity, a part of Mediaset España).
In May, one of the leading integrated co-productions in India, AK Entertainments, acquired an option for adaptation of "The Sniffer" detective series’ to show on one of the local video platforms. Simultaneously, the 4th season of the series premiered in the North American territory on one of the top global VOD Platforms – Amazon Prime.
The first Ukrainian noir detective series "Hide and Seek" has also expanded its geography. The series was acquired by Rai (Italy), Canal+ (Poland), FTV Prima (Czechia), ETV (Estonia), LRT (Lithuania), and Lumière (Benelux countries). Besides, the project was sold to the streaming service Walter Presents in the USA and anglophone Canada territories. Also, "Hide and Seek" will be shown in Germany after a deal with ZDF Enterprises.
In June, on the online film market Marché du Film, FILM.UA Distribution made several deals regarding the rights in the full-feature films from the FILM.UA Group’s catalog. And in late July, the company took part in the Shanghai Film Market, which happened online during the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival.
In early August, KARTINA.TV company created a separate video-catalog for FILM.UA’s full-feature films, series, and TV-projects. This list is headlined by the Sniffer detective series. On the Beijing Film Market, FILM.UA Distribution has also presented many projects of the Group’s catalogue.
In September, the company presented "Love in Chains" costume drama and "The Rising Hawk" historical action film on Virtual Screenings Autumn 2020.
