Calinos Entertainment confirmed plans to showcase two new dramas, “Farah” and “Twisted Lives," produced by O3 Medya, at MIPTV 2023, as well as the Canadian production “Indefensible."
Starring Engin Akyurek and Demet Ozdemir, “Farah” is the story of an Iranian woman, who had to run away from her country and is struggling to live in Istanbul, working as a cleaning lady in order to maintain the treatment of her son, but finds herself unintentionally in the middle of a mafia-police war. Premiered on the International Women’s Day, "Farah" has attracted to attention of Wednesday nights’ audience in a short time, becoming one of the top leading dramas in the rankings. Firat Tanis, Senan Kara, Lale Basar, Oktay Cubuk, Mustafa Avkiran and Ali Surmeli are the names accompanying to Demet Ozdemir (Farah) and Engin Akyurek (Tahir) in “Farah," which serves as the Turkish remake of the award-wining Argentinean scripted serie “La Chica Que Limpia”. Expected to be another global phenomenal drama in Calinos’ catalog, “Farah” is onair every Wednesday on primetime, on FOX in Turkey.
Calino’s second new drama “Twisted Lives” will be introduced to international buyers in Cannes right after its premier. The title is scheduled to air every Tuesday starting as of 11th April, on primetime on FOX in Turkey. Starring globally acclaimed actors Timucin Esen and Sevket Coruh, “Twisted Lives” is the story of two best friends, who will become the worst enemies of each other for the love of their children. While İskender facing with the worst reality of his life, Korkmaz will learn to be a father once again and will be torn between with the love of his life and her son. It is shot in Bodrum; one of the most beautiful coastal towns of Turkey with a great cast. Genco Ozak, Sezin Akbasogulları, Serhat Kilic, Bahar Sahin, Esra Kizildogan and Baran Can Eraslan are accompanying to Sevket Coruh and Timucin Esen.
The third series from Calinos Entertainment’s international catalog is “Indefensible," a popular Canadian crime drama with two successful seasons on Canada’s TVA under its belt. The title is produced by Pixcom in collaboration with Quebecor Content.
