Prime Entertainment has closed several deals during MIPTV 2023. In first place, NPO 2 Extra Netherlands, part of Dutch public broadcasting organization, has acquired a new set of concerts including “Salif Keita – Jazz à Vienne 2021” (1x60’) and “De La Soul: Garorock 2019” (1x60’).

“Salif Keita – Jazz à Vienne 2021” is a live concert at the mythical Jazz à Vienne festival, from the legendary Salif Keita – also known as the Golden Voice of Africa and “De La Soul: Garorock 2019” is a concert from the beloved hip hop group – one of their last public appearances together, before Trugoy the Dove’s tragic passing.

In second place, Prime Entertainment Group has signed a new deal with Australian Foxtel for a trilogy of cinema documentaries directed and produced by Kuperberg sisters. “The True Story of Cary Grant” (52’) dives into the life of a young Broadway acrobat who found his way to Hollywood… and to achieving global superstar status, becoming one of America’s most beloved actors ever.
“The True Story of the Barrymores” (54’) chronicles the 4 generations of the Barrymore family through their rise and falls, and “Dorothy Arzner” (52’) tells the tale of one of America’s greatest pioneers in the cinema industry, and her journey from editing minor movies to being one of the most powerful directors in the world.

Thirdly, Prime has inked a new major deal with RTBF, Belgian Radio-Television of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, for a package of documentaries and concerts to air on linear and on demand services. The broadcaster acquired a range of historical, biographical and lifestyle documentaries including “Mamy Rock” (52’), “Me the People” (52’) and “The True Story of Angelina Jolie” (52’) along with a number of live concerts of such internationally acclaimed bands as Morcheeba and Texas.

Prime’s Head of Sales, Alexandra Marguerite, commented on the deal: “We are happy to strengthen our great relationship with such a key player in the Belgian audio-visual landscape as RTBF. We are proud to be among the content providers of this major network.”
