Festival Executive Director Cécile Menoni highlighted the importance of the event in the international audiovisual calendar: “We have always made sure that the Monte-Carlo Television Festival evolves as quickly as the incredibly fast-paced international entertainment industry it represents. We’re thrilled the phenomenal momentum we have built over the years now makes it one of the ‘must-attend’ events in the international Festival calendar for everyone – creatives, talent, industry executives and, of course, the public," commented.
A host of immersive public events will take place throughout the 64th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival. From screenings, celebrity meet-and-greets, autograph sessions, and selfies – this year’s Festival promises an exciting program.
All nominated programs in the Fiction Category, along with the winner of the Prince Rainier III Special Prize, will be available for public screening at Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum. In addition, special out-of-competition screenings are also scheduled, including the premiere of "Mort sur terre battue", a French crime drama directed by Denis Malleval and produced by Jean-Baptiste Neyrac, in the presence of the two lead actors, Yannick Noah and Florent Peyre. A major highlight will be the exclusive French presentation of "AKRIS – Fashion With a Heritage", the new documentary by acclaimed filmmaker Reiner Holzemer.
Premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on June 9, the film follows Akris Creative Director Albert Kriemler over a two-year period, offering rare behind-the-scenes access to his creative process. This marks the first time in his four decades at the helm of the family-run fashion house that Kriemler has opened his atelier to cameras.
Fans will also enjoy autograph sessions with stars from "Un Si Grand Soleil", "Demain nous appartient", hit shows by Wolf Entertainment ("Chicago Fire", "Chicago P.D."), cast members of the cult series "Teen Wolf", as well as long-running soaps such as "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless". A special fan meet-up will celebrate the 15th anniversary of beloved comedy "Scènes de Ménages" with its iconic couples.
One of the most anticipated moments will be the launch event for M6’s brand-new daily drama, "Nouveau Jour", featuring a dedicated conference with the lead cast. Finally, official Festival make-up partner SLA Paris will once again host interactive beauty activations for the public on the Grimaldi Forum esplanade, complete with fully equipped make-up stations.
