NATPE Budapest is making its return to the banks of the Danube from June 19‑22, 2023, at the Intercontinental Hotel. Brunico Communications, producer of Realscreen Summit, Kidscreen Summit and Banff World Media Festival, is now operating the event following its recent and successful purchase of the NATPE assets.

“Since 1993, NATPE Budapest has been the gold standard of markets connecting the world to the Central and Eastern European content community. It is also the only European market that features the US studios in its exclusive screenings program for registered buyers. Last year, NATPE Budapest welcomed nearly 400 leading buyers from the CEE region, and we expect to improve upon that based on the critical success of the last edition,”  said Russell Goldstein, President & CEO of Brunico.

For the seventh year running, CEETV and NATPE will once again co-present the highly popular Pitch & Play Live! competition featuring original format concepts with international potential from the CEE and EMEA regions. Registered attendees will have an opportunity to vie for international recognition in the event’s partner publications, as well as an all-access pass to attend NATPE Global 2024. In addition, NATPE will once again organize a delegation from the Ukrainian content community at the market to facilitate business.

As usual, the event will have a multi-day conference and matchmaking program, in addition to a schedule of screenings. Moreover, Brunico announced that it will also be offering Early Bird rates, inviting buyers to register for free, and opening the hotel reservation window so that returning attendees can reserve their usual meeting spaces and suites well in advance.

“Our hearts go out to our Turkish clients who are struggling with the colossal impact of this devastating natural disaster,”  Goldstein added, noting NATPE Budapest’s event dates have been moved up by a week to avoid conflicting with Eid al-Adha holiday celebrations the following week.
