Formed in 1989, The Television Syndication Company is a full-service syndication and distribution organization. It provides high-quality programming from the world's most creative producers to television, new media, in-flight, and educational outlets worldwide. The company's services include barter syndication in the USA and cash licensing domestically and worldwide. Señal News spoke with Cassie Yde, President of The Television Syndication Company, who described the most important milestones of the organization's 35 anniversary.

What does it mean for The Television Syndication Company to have reached 35 years in the global content industry?
"Reaching the milestone of 35 years in the global program content industry reflects a combination of key factors. Foremost among these is the strong, enduring relationships we've built with both clients and the producers we represent. Navigating and adapting to the constantly evolving landscape, driven by technological advancements, while consistently meeting the demands of a global audience, presents ongoing challenges that we tackle every day."

What are the company's most significant milestones during these years?
"While distribution of content globally has been a focus, our most significant milestones come from the domestic syndication of programming, including a series TVS produced and aired in syndication for 20 years, 'Real Life 101'. Our syndicated programming represents many series that have been in syndication for 10 to 26 years. These long-running shows are the mainstay of our domestic business."

How would you describe the values that made the company thrive in a competitive business environment?
"The values that have driven our company are rooted in trust, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. At the core is the strong, trusted relationships we've built with our clients. They rely on us not only for high-quality, compelling content but also for our dedication to understanding their unique audience needs."

What does a company must have today to be relevant in the global arena?
"Several key factors are crucial for remaining relevant in the global arena. Adapting to the ever-changing landscape, consistently delivering high-quality content, and building and maintaining strong relationships across the globe is essential. These elements ensure that a company can navigate the complexities of a competitive international market."

What are the most radical changes you experienced in the content industry in the past 35 years?
"The most radical changes I've witnessed have been in delivering content. My career spans over 50 years, beginning in production before TVS was established in 1989 to handle content distribution. I started in an era when 1" tape was the standard, followed by ¾" Umatic, hard drives, and now, digital file delivery. Back then, delivery was done by courier, and it could take up to a week for content to reach the client. Today, with the advent of high-speed internet and cloud-based technology, content can be delivered anywhere in the world within seconds, eliminating the need for physical transportation and dramatically changing the speed and efficiency of the industry."

How do you foresee the company's upcoming years? What is the strategy for maintaining its global footprint?
"The company's strategy for the upcoming years will focus on maintaining a clear vision, expanding strategic partnerships, and staying committed to acquiring high-quality content for our buyers. By staying true to our core values and embracing change, we will continue strengthening and growing our global footprint in an increasingly competitive market."
