Produced by Bigster for Nordic Entertainment Group’s Viaplay, “Honour” is already one of the most successful Swedish TV exports of all time, and has been sold to more than 60 territories worldwide.
The company has acquired international rights for a new series from TV4 and C More, “The Congregation,” which explores the notorious real life Swedish cult murder in Knutby that shook the nation in 2004.
ZDF Enterprises, co-producer of the Swedish crime thriller “Huss,” has launched the distribution of the series, inspired by Helene Tursten’s best-selling novels and produced by Yellow Bird Productions.
Scheduled to debut on the channel and BBC iPlayer later this summer, the series is set in southern Sweden in the late 1980s and revolves around the real-life disappearance and subsequent murder of a 10-year-old girl.
