Broadcast by ESPN since 2017, Formula 1 will end its current television agreement in the United States at the end of this year, and it is now in the sights of several industry giants.
The Projector Pictures’ and Clapperboard Studios thriller has been acquired by Spectrum for U.S. audiences, BBC Studios for Australian viewers, and various European locations.
The title will debut on Paramount+ in Italy and across France, UK, Canada, Australia, Latin America and South Korea later in 2022 as a Paramount+ Original.
The French government is preparing to end the TV license fee later this year. Bruno Le Maire, France’s Minister of the Economy, confirmed that the “contribution to public broadcasting will be permanently abolished this year.”
