The German distributor has sold the title to Italy (Rai Cinema), France (Swift Productions), Spain (Twelve Oaks), Portugal (Outsider Films), and Former Yugoslavia (Discovery). Additionally, a US deal is being negotiated.
The show is produced by 9 Story Media Group and animated by its studio Brown Bag Films in partnership with Warner Bros, Discovery and CBC Kids. It will be a 52-episode series of 11 minutes each.
Francesco Manfio, CEO of the Italian studio, describes the company's focus on Kidscreen and reveals more details about the Cartoon Artist course they created to discover new animation talent.
The yet-to-be-named service would offer an all-in-one package of programming that would include television channels, such as ESPN, TNT, and FS1, and streamed sports content.
The deals include Discovery Spain's renewal of five seasons of "Untold Stories of the E.R." which has been broadcast in 214 territories, and the acquisition of "Death Walker," made by Discovery UK and France’s Canal Plus.
