During the second day of Digital MIPTV, David Beckham provided a special keynote where he talked about launching his own production company and current projects in production and development for a variety of global networks.
The distributor's proposal will focus on documentary and factual content including "Life in Colour with David Attenborough" and "Yellowstone: Super Volcanoes".
The Talbert’s production company is called Golden Alchemy. The deal follows the success of "Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey", Netflix’s first original live-action musical.
MIPTV confirmed David Beckham, global sporting icon, football club owner, entrepreneur and founder of production company Studio 99, as a keynote speaker at Digital MIPTV, which this year takes place exclusively online from April 12-16.
The licensing deal includes “Halo,” “Your Honor” and “City on a Hill”, premiering exclusively in Japan on the platform. Viewers will have access to a selection of popular original series including David Lynch’s masterpiece “Twin Peaks. Showtime has garnered over 27 million subscribers worldwide.
