Originally commissioned by BBC (UK), France Télévisions (France) and ZDF (Germany), the 52 x 11’ series has now been acquired by VRT Ketnet (Flemish Belgium), Téléquebec (French Canada), YLE (Finland), Warner Bros. Discovery (Italy), RTS (Switzerland) and SVT (Sweden).
With nearly 250M followers across social media and syndication in 200+ territories, the franchise continues its global momentum with new animated episodes on ITV2 and worldwide distribution through Warner Bros. Discovery.
Total revenues were $9.8 billion in Q2 2025, up modestly from the prior year quarter. Distribution revenues were relatively unchanged, as growth in global streaming subscribers was offset by continued domestic linear pay TV subscriber declines.

From now on, the “Streaming & Studios” company will be Warner Bros., while the “Global Networks” company will be Discovery Global, both with new leadership confirmed.
