After the Group fully acquired the streaming platform Joyn, putting it at the center of its entertainment activities, a realignment of the organization is now taking place, particularly in the entertainment segment.
Joyn will have to up its commissioning to both keep younger audiences engaged with local originals and attract a wider pool of consumers to the service, Ampere Analysis said in its latest report.
The German commercial broadcast group shares a 50:50 partnership on the AVOD, which was established with Discovery in 2017, and has operated under the name Joyn since 2019.
The thriller, based on a best-selling novel translated into 15 languages and published in 22 countries, with over 1.7 million copies sold, is set to premiere this Fall on Joyn and SAT.1
