Nearly a third of all Netflix viewing came from non-English shows and films, including the Latin American series " The Accident" from Mexico, "Senna" from Brazil, and "One Hundred Years of Solitude" from Colombia.
The move, which was unveiled during a press conference with co-CEO Ted Sarandos and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, aims to grow the audiovisual industry and create jobs and opportunities nationwide.
Combate Global’s “Copa Combate” tournament made its debut in November 2017 in Cancun, Mexico, and has since produced a total of five tournaments crowning champions from four different countries: Mexico, the U.S., Peru and Ireland.
These rights include free-to-air television, pay television, digital platforms, and non-exclusive radio rights, along with the ability to sublicense media rights within Mexico.
