Michael Cavanagh, Chief Financial Officer of the company, said at a UBS investor conference in New York that the company “will ramp quickly next year on spending on Peacock”.
The executive, who has spent the past eight years overseeing TV and film distribution at NBCUniversal, is moving over to the company's streaming service as President of Content Acquisition and Strategy.
The company is seeking about ten marketers as sponsors for the launch of its Peacock streaming service, with packages costing as much as $25 million, people familiar with the matter said.
