Under the terms of the agreement, new theatrical releases from Universal will premiere on Amazon Prime Video after a four-month run on the studio’s sister streaming service, Peacock.
The licensing deal, intended to strengthen the streaming service, will secure the release of all Universal and Focus films no later than four months after their theatrical release.
The film, directed by Colombian filmmaker Harold Trompetero, will debut in North America this September. The deal is intended to give Filmrise a larger theatrical, digital, and broadcasting presence in the regions.
