The California Department of Public Health Department will release safety guidelines and requirements about film productions at a press conference today, outlining general safety protocols about specific production departments.

The 44-page report was created between the British Film Institute’s coronavirus task force and labor organizations, epidemiologists, and studios based in the U.K. and the United States, covering various aspects of production, including hair & makeup to set design and cinematography.

The county’s film & entertainment office is now issuing permits for 13 municipalities throughout Miami-Dade that are adhering to all “New Normal” guidelines, with some having even stricter regulations going beyond the county’s safety rules.

British broadcasters and producers associations have come together to publish a 15-page set of industry guidelines for TV production to resume the shootings and run safely during the coronavirus pandemic.

Some of the guidelines include having the option to work from home, social distancing and disinfection if working in a studio, newsroom, or field, and personal protective equipment. The suggestions were endorsed by multiple organizations, including Directors Guild of America.
