This year marks a particularly exciting milestone, as cloud gaming will pass the coveted billion-dollar mark for the first time, ending at $1.4 billion cloud gaming in revenues in 2021, according to Newzoo’s update for its latest “Global Cloud Gaming Report”.
The global games live-streaming audience will reach 728.8 million by the end of 2021, a +10% increase over 2020’s audience number, according to Newzoo’s “2021 Global E-sports and Live Streaming Market” report.
In its new Global Games Market Report quarterly update, Newzoo forecasts that the games market will grow 19.6% to $174.9 billion this year, which is $15.6 billion higher than its previous forecast, made early on in the pandemic.
