The 2024 edition of MIA | Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo will take place at the Barberini District of Rome, Italy, from October 14th to 18th.

The numbers come from a survey conducted by Bectu, the UK’s trade union for the creative industries, which surveyed more than 2,300 film and TV workers from across the UK. Following a February 2024 survey which found that 68% were not currently working, the latest survey indicates a slow and small recovery as work in some areas picks up, although very few are benefitting. 

The numbers, which are nearly seven times larger compared to Tokyo 2020 at the same stage, are close to surpassing the entire coverage of the previous Olympics in only two days.

Sky’s “The Attention Index” also revealed that Sky News broadcasts reached an audience of 15 million viewers, while Sky Broadband customers consumed over 19 billion GB of data.

The streaming giant has reached 277 Million in Q2 2024, according to data presented by Stocklytics.
