As video providers proliferate, viewers are excited about the volume of shows to choose from, but, according to Hub Entertainment Research’s latest research, increasingly they face the problem of deciding what to watch.
Despite the economic problems the territory faces, the UK Entertainment & Media sector expects a robust long-term growth over the next four years, with the market expected to be valued at £97 billion by 2026, according to PwC.
Piracy still poses a problem to the video industry in the Nordics. In fact, according to new figures from Mediavision, the number of pirates in the region has even increased compared to last year.
"Hitman's Curse" and "Extreme Team" are the highlighted series this year, along with successful projects like "Noble Detective", "Fatherland" and "Beyond Death".
If the number of streaming services keeps expanding, many of these new products will receive scant viewership, as there are only so many hours in the day, and there are not enough viewers to ensure every streamer succeeds, according to eMarketer.
