New research by Ampere Analysis revealed that, in the first eight months of 2024, 33% of all new first-run Scripted TV series ordered by Netflix stemmed from its APAC markets, ahead of Western Europe.
According to Ampere Analysis, the streamer saw consistent growth within the region, in contrast to North America and Western Europe, where growth has been slower with occasional subscriber decline.
A research by Vitrina showed the recovery is on the back of a resurgent APAC and EMEA regions; continuing productions from Netflix and Amazon Prime; as well as a host of government supported sops and incentives.
