Based on the popular 1986 manga written and created by Yoshinori Kobayashi, the cult kids’ animation series became a cultural phenomenon in Japan and now is resurging in India.

The event, held on 1st – 13th November, will feature 2 strands, Cinema Now and Women’s Voices, as well as a programme from the BFI Echoes in Time.

Currently available on Netflix across Australia and New Zealand, the film follows the rain to discover both known and new fungi species.
