The project, titled “Transforming S4C’s Digital Future” and running until December 2025, will focus on exploring the future of S4C’s audiences, its distribution, and the prominence of public service broadcasting in the digital age. Its ultimate aim is to ensure that S4C’s Welsh-language content is easily discoverable both in Wales and across the UK.

The agreement is to secure merchandising rights for the long-running hit children’s series "Simon Super Rabbit" for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With Season 5 scheduled for delivery early next year, the long-running preschool animated series will total 260 episodes, seeing "Simon Super Rabbit" fast becoming one of the most popular IPs loved by kids and their parents worldwide. 

The agreement includes 7 seasons of this flagship series. The program was also recently licensed as a Format to Khelgejo for production in Africa as GRB Media continues to expand the territorial and Format reach of this long-running popular program.

On November 20, leading executive producers will explore trends in the sector and the changing role of showrunner.

This proposed sale follows TeamTO’s announcement of insolvency in September, attributed to unforeseen market challenges in the animation industry over the past two years. TeamTO is currently co-developing and co-producing Junichiro Jackson, an adult animated series, with RIVA Studios and Lex and Otis Studios with Balsamo and Oliva as showrunners.
