Global fixed broadband subscribers are projected to reach 1.614 billion by 2030, growing by 10.2% from mid-2024, with the highest increases in the Middle East & Africa (36.9%) and Latin America (21.5%), while mature markets see slower expansion.
More than half of subscribers (55%) now get these ‘indirect’ subscriptions via their cell phone providers, while 34% access and pay for them through a retailer. 44% now get a subscription they used to pay for free of charge, thanks to a bundled deal — rising to 55% for 18-24 year-olds.
The investment represents an 11% increase from 2024—while doubling down on new revenue streams like advertising and live events. The platform surpassed 300 million subscribers and saw rapid ad-tier adoption, with 55% of new users choosing the ad-supported option in Q4 2024.
Under this new agreement, evision subscribers will continue to enjoy FilmBox, FilmBox Family, FilmBox Action, and DIZI, as well as the thematic channels DocuBox, FightBox, Fast&FunBox, Gametoon for few more years.
