AMC Networks announced that it has begun the rollout of an ad-supported version of its flagship AMC+ streaming service, with initial availability on its direct-to-consumer platform and apps.
The seven-part series based on Anne Rice’s best-selling novel and produced by Jessica Held and Adam O’Byrne, will become available on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
All six shows included in the deal will air later this year and in early 2024 on Drama, Alibi and UKTV Play. This agreement is the first between the two companies.
MNET, BritBox, Arena Broadcasting, SuperSport Africa, CBS AMC and BBC Studios are among the list of companies that have acquired a range of titles for viewers in Africa.
BBC pre-bought Season 2, and TV3 acquired Season 1 and Season 2, whilst RAI, BYUtv, RTL Nederland, and AMC Networks International stepped in for Season 1.
