Nearly 200 hours of entertainment are heading to SBS Australia, set to arrive in 2025 on the broadcaster’s flagship streaming service, SBS On Demand.

Beta Film has licensed the series to more than 50 territories globally, with the latest agreement secured with Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK.

The company will showcase "The Phyisician II," the sequel to 2013 historical epic, and "Let it Rain," for which it will take on international sales.

The series is produced by Picomedia, Thalie Images, in collaboration with Rai Fiction and in co-production with Beta. Beta Film handles world sales.

The territories across include: RTL Germany, RAI Italy, Amazon Netherlands (first window) and RTL Netherlands (second window), as well as VTM Belgium, and YES Israel. NBC Universal snapped up the six-hour drama for Brazil/Latin America and NOW TV for Hong Kong.
