The procedural drama series is co-produced by RTVE, ZDF, Portocabo, Nadcon and ZDF Studios, and ZDF Studios handles the worldwide sales outside of Spanish-speaking territories.
From now on, the “Streaming & Studios” company will be Warner Bros., while the “Global Networks” company will be Discovery Global, both with new leadership confirmed.
The series is produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures for CTV (Canada) and The CW (US) and it was acquired by multiple buyers, including in the UK and Ireland.
While total external revenue rose 2% to £1.65 billion, ITV Studios grew 9% year-on-year to reach £1 billion in revenue, offsetting a 9% drop in total advertising revenue and flat performance from digital platform ITVX.
The original series from Buendía Estudios, based on María Dueñas' bestselling novel, will air on Atresmedia for the Spanish market and later become available on Netflix in Spain and several international territories.
