Based on "The Day of the Jackal" from Universal International Studios’ Carnival Films, the series will be available on Peacock in the US and on Sky in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Under the terms of the deal, Peacock subscribers will have access to enjoy CJ ENM’s large library of hit K-content including dramas, films, and unscripted entertainment content.
NBCUniversal profits grew in the second quarter despite larger losses at direct-to-consumer streaming service Peacock. The platform lost $467 million in the quarter, more than the $363 million it last a year ago.
The company reported a revenue of $31.0 billion and an earnings per share (EPS) of 78 cents streamer, as Peacock manages to pick itself up by adding 4 million paid subscribers during the same period, reaching a total of 13 million.
