Freely's launch in April marked the first time all four of Britain's public service broadcasters joined hands to set up a streaming service, as they look to future-proof live TV in the age of streaming. Freely offers 70,000 hours of on-demand content, more than any other major streaming platform in Britain.

The major broadcasters onboard include Warner Bros. Discovery, France Television and Super RTL, which have already acquired the rights.

The Venice TV Award was launched as a tribute to and celebration of television, increasing national and international recognition for both producers and broadcasters who create high-quality products. 

The event organized by Rai has confirmed a strong presence of European broadcasters, and will take place from October 1 to October 4 in Turin.
