Made by Two Brothers Pictures ("Fleabag", "The Tourist"), and produced in association with All3Media International for BBC Three, BBC iPlayer and BBC Scotland in the UK, the new 6x30” series will commence production in 2025.
Jolly Octopus Media is a new production company founded by Emmy and BAFTA winners Ollie Brack and James Longman. With backing from BBC Studios Global Entertainment, Jolly Octopus will develop entertainment formats that will appeal to audiences around the globe. In return, BBC Studios will share IP of these formats along with distribution rights.
Partnering with All3Media International, Prime Video India will stream the Indian adaptation of IDTV’s BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning global format produced by BBC Studios India Productions.
The deal features more than 60 hours of stand-out drama, including BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning "Wolf Hall," Steven Knight’s high-octane series "This Town," "The Hardacres," "Marie Antoinette," "The Sixth Commandment" and "My Mad Fat Diary."
The title is created and written by Lauren Sequeira, the bewitching drama stars BAFTA-nominated Siena Kelly ("Adult Material"). The show had a successful U.K. launch on BBC Three earlier this year to wide critical acclaim
