German media group Bertelsmann has put its French television business M6 up for sale after the competition regulator blocked plans for a merger with TF1.
RTL, a unit of publishing group Bertelsmann, could be exploring the sale of its Belgian subsidiary for around 300 million euros ($355 million) and had hired JP Morgan as an adviser.
German media conglomerate is reportedly looking to sell its controlling stake in French broadcast group and has already approached potential buyers including France’s Vivendi and Altice Europe.
