The feature is based on a book by Leila Slimani, a 2025 Cannes jury member. Adaptation of "Dans le Jardin de l’Ogre", by acclaimed Franco-Moroccan author, will be produced by Conspiração in co-production with Globoplay and Disney's Star Original Productions label.

The two companies will co-produce a series set in the world of haute couture. The project will also involve Conspiração and Ventre Studios in its development.

Written by Claudio Torres and Fábio Mendes, the new series is directed by Andrucha Waddington and Claudio Torres.
