GMA's President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit recalled launching the Network’s international channel in Japan and highlighted the ongoing participation of GMA talents in various events for Filipinos there.

Duavit, the eldest son of one of GMA’s founders, Gilberto M. Duavit, joined GMA’s Board of Directors in 1999 and has been the Chairman of the Network’s Executive Committee since August 2000.

The executive will be responsible for strengthening the company's technical operations, and staff managements across its location's team. His tenure with the company will begin this month.
