The MMA franchise has amassed over 5.2 million television minutes viewed and 3 million impressions on YouTube in just five events, following its pivot from linear distribution after reaching 1 billion minutes viewed on Univision in 2023.
These declines were primarily driven by continued pressure on linear subscribers and lower OTT subscriber additions. Including Canada, total North American subscribers were 19.1 million, reflecting a sequential decline of 520,000.
LATAM leads quality improvements with a 33% drop in buffering, while TVs and set-top boxes dominate viewing devices, capturing 69% of VoD and 87% of Linear TV playtime.
Total revenues were $9.8 billion in Q2 2025, up modestly from the prior year quarter. Distribution revenues were relatively unchanged, as growth in global streaming subscribers was offset by continued domestic linear pay TV subscriber declines.
The new service will offer an unlimited plan for $29.99/month that features all of ESPN’s linear networks, covering 47,000 live events each year, on-demand replays, studio shows, and original programming.
