The Canadian production company was commissioned by Bell Media to develop the new original format that will be streamed on Noovo and Noovo.ca this fall.
Noovo has acquired the rights to adapt the reality competition “Survivor” for French Canada. Produced in 48 territories since its launch in 1997, the show is one of the biggest television phenomena of the past 25 years.
Following the tremendous success of its first year, “Big Brother Célébrités” will return to Noovo for a second season this winter, and Marie-Mai will also be back to host the dramatic elimination episodes.
Banijay’s format will arrive on Noovo and Noovo.ca on Sunday January 10. Then, 15 Quebec personalities from all walks of life will enter the “Big Brother” house, where they will be completely cut off from the outside world.
