Amagi’s 15th Global FAST Report shows 84% of managed live events were sports in Q1 2025, with 67% of U.S. viewers streaming live events and 47% willing to trial paid services if offered a free live event.
The share of viewers outside the country who say they watch South Korean TV series or films ‘sometimes’ or ‘very often’ rose from 22% in Q1 2020 to 35% in Q1 2025, a 13% increase.
Netflix averaged 8.3 million monthly users in Q1 2025, followed by Amazon Prime Video with 7.3 million, Disney+ with 3.7 million, Dazn with 2.2 million, and Now (Sky) with 1.4 million (-5.8%).
In Q1 2025, only 24 of 87 U.S. scripted projects filmed partly in Los Angeles, while U.S.-produced series premieres fell 27% year over year and 42% versus 2022, according to Luminate.
Almost 70 million users subscribe to ad tiers in Q1 2025, representing 25% of all SVOD subscriptions across Western Europe, led predominantly by Amazon Prime Video.
