According to Antenna’s Q3 2025 State of Subscriptions report, Specialty SVOD subscriptions grew 12% YoY by mid-2025, down from 22% the previous year, showing a maturing but still vital segment

The U.S. streaming market closed Q2’25 with 339M subscriptions, including 20% in Specialty, Sports, and vMVPD services; Specialty SVOD grew 12% YoY, while overall streaming added a net 6M subscriptions.

A new edition of Antenna’s "State of Subscriptions” report revealed that the category increased by 26.9% YoY in 2023 and 19.8% into 2024.

The launches expand Blue Ant Media’s partnership with Fetch TV and mark the debut of Homeful in Australia. Fetch now offers five Blue Ant Media channels, including previously launched free-streaming channels HauntTV and NatureTime as well as PayTV specialty channel Love Nature.

The slate including "My Haunted Hometown," "Dr. Savannah: Wild Rose Vetm" and "Hope for Wildlife: The Next Generation," a working title, a new season of the hit franchise "Hope for Wildlife," as well as two additional episodes of the third season of eight-part series "Mysteries From Above," is intended for specialty TV and global free streaming channels.
