2020 INTERNATIONAL EMMY AWARDS NOMINEES SPAN 20 COUNTRIES

Nominations for the 2020 International Emmy Awards were announced by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. There are 44 nominees across 11 categories and 20 countries.

Nominations for the 2020 International Emmy Awards were announced by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. In total, there are 44 nominees across 11 categories and 20 countries. All these programs were broadcast between January 1 and December 31, 2019, in accordance with the competition’s eligibility period.

“Congratulations to all the nominees!  We are especially proud to recognize and honor the world’s best storytellers, producers and performers. At a time of crisis where most of us have to stay home most of the time, television entertains us and provides a window on our world,”  said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.   

Nominees come from: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States

All nominated program trailers and exclusive nominee interviews will be featured online during the International Emmy World Television Festival from November 13 to 23 on the International Academy’s website. Then winners will be announced at a ceremony produced from New York City, on Monday, November 23, 2020, details of which will be announced in October.
