LIFETIME’S WENDY WILLIAMS MOVIE LEAD THE PAY-TV RATINGS IN THE US

The high viewership figures drove the network to the top of the ranking for nine consecutive months, garnering 2.6 million total views. Together with “Wendy Williams and Salt-N-Pepa," 15.5 million views have been accumulated.

Lifetime reported the highest non-fiction telecast in more than two years after debuting “Wendy Williams: The Movie" and the documentary “Wendy Williams: What a Mess!”.  The network garnered 2.6 million total views, 802,000 of which were contributed to by women ages 25-54 in Live+3. The movie ranks as cable’s #1 documentary of the year among all key demos.

As a result of “Wendy Williams: The Movie"'s success, along with the previous week’s “Salt-N-Pepa” biopic, Lifetime houses two of cable's top non-holiday movies in the past nine months. Salt-N-Pepa‘s 23rd January premier recevied 1.9 million Total Viewers and 669,000 Women 25-54 in Live+3 ratings, making it the #1 telecast in prime that Saturday with W25-54 and 505,000 25-54

Across all telecasts, Lifetime’s “Wendy Williams and Salt-N-Pepa” movies and documentaries have reached more than 15.5 million Total Viewers. The title ranked high among Adults 25-54  at 1.2 million. The biopic about the talk show host attracted 2.9 million Total Viewers in Live+3 and was the #1 telecast in prime on Saturday, January 30 with W25-54 and W18-49. On social platforms, “Wendy Williams: The Movie” was the #1 most buzzed-about program in primetime against cable-national and was the #1 trending hashtag on Twitter on its premiere night. Salt-N-Pepa ranked #1 against all other cable and broadcast programming on premiere night.

After the back-to-back weekends of revealing stories, Lifetime premieres “Whitney Houston & Bobbi” “Kristina: Didn’t We Almost Have It All” on Saturday, 6th February at 8 pm ET/PT. “Wendy Williams: What a Mess!” will re-air on 6th February at 11 am ET/PT, followed re-run of “Wendy Williams: The Movie” at 1 pm ET/PT.
