TELEFE ACHIEVES THE HIGHEST RATING SHARE IN THE HISTORY OF ARGENTINE TV

With 44,84% share, Telefe closes out april at #1 for 40 consecutive months. For the second month in a row, the Top 10 most-watched shows in Argentina all aired on Telefe.

Telefe, a ViacomCBS free-to-air network, is #1 in ratings once again, achieving an average share of 44.84% and 9.47 rating points in April. The channel has held onto the #1 spot for 40 consecutive months, with the past 12 months, surpassing a 40% of share, a feat that has never occurred in Argentinian free-to-air television. In 2021, Telefe leads the competition with 43,37% % share and 8.34 rating points. It has been the most-watched free-to-air television network every day this year.

In April, Telefe led in every time slot: from 12 to 4 p.m. it captured obtained 39.22% share of television and 7,24 rating points; from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., 43,39% share and 8,19 rating points and from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. 49,89% share and 12,98 rating points.

Additionally, for the second month in a row, the 10 most-watched shows all aired on Telefe: “MasterChef Celebrity” – 66,56% share and 19,00 rating points; “MasterChef Celebrity, Elimination Gala”– 68.84% share and 18.26 rating points; “Doctor Milagro” – 52,33% share and 16,46 rating points; “Viaje Chef” – 66.41% share and 11.11 rating points; “Fuerza De Mujer (prime-time edition)” – 49,06% share and 11,23 rating points; “Fuerza De Mujer (afternoon edition)” – 52,03% share and 11,07 rating points: “Minuto Para Ganar”– 38.29% share and 10.80 rating points; “Special MasterChef Celebrity edition of Minuto Para Ganar” – 48.91% share and 10.31 rating points; “Telefe Noticias” – 38,77% share and 10,18 rating points; and “PH, Podemos Hablar” – 46.74% share and 9.42 rating points

Telefe also dominated mornings with “Flor de Equipo”, which led in its time slot with 35,17% share and 5,83 rating points, followed by “El Noticiero de la Gente”, which led with 39,08% share and 8,27 rating points.

In the afternoon timeslot, “Corta por Lozano” continued to be the audience's top choice with an average share of 39,81% share and 8,20 rating points; in addition to the most compelling love stories: “Fuerza de Mujer”, which was in the Top 10; “Züleyha” with 45,56% share and 9,04 rating points, “Guerra de Rosas” with 44,21% share and 8,58 rating points and “Floricienta” with 40,23% share and 7.30 rating points. “Pasapalabra”, with Iván De Pineda delivering the most entertaining rounds of questions and answers, also led with a 39,71% share and 8,50 rating points.

In primetime, “Telefe Noticias”, “Minuto para Ganar”, “MasterChef Celebrity”, “Fuerza de Mujer” are among the Top 10 Most-Watched shows in Argentina, while Icerde continued to lead in its time slot with 40,84% share and 7,30 rating points. Rounding out the end of the day is “News Staff”, which was also at #1 with 43,20% share and 5,13 rating points.

On weekends, Telefe also commanded the airwaves with the celebrity-edition of “Pasapalabra” with 39,98 share and 7,46 rating points, “PH, Podemos Hablar” with Andy Kusnetzoff and “La Peña de Morfi” with 41,44% share and 5,64 rating points.

April 2021 saw the premiere of the Turkish series, “Doctor Milagro”, which quickly won the hearts of Argentine audiences and has dominated its time slot every day since its premiere. Also in April, Telefe said goodbye to several hit series, including “Minuto para Ganar”, which ended its 60-episode run at #1 with 41.09% share and 10.83 rating point, the “Special MasterChef Celebrity edition of Minuto Para Ganar” with 48.42% share and 9.41 rating points and Floricienta also finished its 75-episodes on-air at #1 in with 41.62% share and 7.18 rating points.

This month Telefe.com increased its audience by 18% and reached more than 3 million users and 14,8 million views. The top three most viewed shows on the site were: “Fuerza de Mujer”, “Doctor Milagro” and “MasterChef Celebrity”.

Other notable digital highlights include: “Telefenoticias” delivered more than 1.6 million unique users and 10 million page views; the @telefe social media accounts added more than 228 million video views and @telefenoticias reached more than 76.8 million video views on their Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
#MasterchefArgentina achieved more than 226 million video views on social media and its spin-off, #AfterHour with host Fede Bal, has accumulated 9.8 million video views in just seven episodes.

In the month of its premiere, “Doctor Milagro” was the second most-watched show on the web, garnering more than 1.7 million views with a reach of more than 937 thousand users. Also, was one of the most-watched shows on telefe.com, with a reach of more than 6.3 million views, achieving 430 shared posts and 400,000 interactions on Telefe social media networks and became a trending topic on Twitter in Argentina.

May is promising to be an even bigger month for Telefe with premieres that include: “La Voz Argentina”, hosted by Marley and with Ricardo Montaner, Lali, Soledad, and Mau y Ricky serving as coaches; “Trato Hecho” (Deal or No Deal) with Lizy Tagliani and comedian Roberto Moldavsky leading contestants through a high-pressure, high-stakes game of risk and reward; and the excitement continues to grow in “MasterChef Celebrity”, the most successful cooking competition on television; as well as the continuation of the most successful seasons, the best love stories, newscasts and much more.
