Airing from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., “El Ultimo Rey: El Hijo del Pueblo” delivered an average audience of 1.6 million Total Viewers, placing the network ahead of ABC and NBC. The title ranked as the No. 1 program on all of television in the 10 p.m. hour among Adults 18-34 as well as No. 2 among Adults 18-49.
Led by a star-studded cast including Angélica Aragón, Iván Arana, Iliana Fox, Pablo Montero, Jesús Moré, Emilio Osorio, Salvador Sánchez, and Vince Miranda, the debut also delivered double-digit audience growth to the network's weeknight 10 p.m. hour from the comparable night in 2021 among Total Viewers by 14%.
The numbers are compared to, but exceed the figures of other first-run episodes, such as NBC’s “Young Rock,” “Mr. Mayor” and “New Amsterdam.” Additionally, “El Ultimo Rey: El Hijo del Pueblo” positioned Univision as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the 10 p.m. hour with double-to-triple digit audience advantages over Telemundo’s “Pasion de Gavilanes II” among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
