According to Omdia data, Netflix is projected to overtake YouTube, reaching $46.2 billion, fueled by $43.2 billion from subscriptions and $3.2 billion from advertising.

According to Omdia, nearly half of these revenues will stem from streaming video, which is forecast to reach $24 billion in 2025. The FAST expansion will contribute to this growth.

Omdia’s latest consumer survey revealed TikTok surpassed 1.9 billion monthly active users globally, including 145 million MAUs in the USA, and amassed $63.3 billion (including China) in video revenues.

During a keynote, Maria Rua Aguete, Head of Media and Entertainment at Omdia, explained that programming spend is projected to rebound in 2025, reaching $206 billion after a challenging 2024, representing a 5.3% global growth.

By the close of 2024, the region is expected to reach nearly 2,500 screens, reflecting the rising demand for cinematic experiences across MENA, driven primarily by Saudi Arabia.
